The new information on Nibiru is more mysterious than its own origins. Not too many people know the true details of Nibiru, and why it exists in our solar system.

Periodic mass extinctions on Earth, as indicated in the global fossil record, could be linked to a suspected ninth planet, according to research published by a faculty member of the University of Arkansas Department of Mathematical Sciences.

Scientists are keeping a close eye on the meteor as just a minor change in its flight path could have catastrophic consequences for the human race. Experts say if the asteroid were to smash into Earth, it would create an extinction level event, meaning humans are toast.

The impact would equal the explosion of three billion atomic bombs, triggering effects similar to those that wiped out the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Conspiracy theorists are in a state of panic over the incoming space rock.

Most asteroid passes classed as “near-Earth” by NASA fly by at millions of miles away, but the space rock 2015 SZ2, due today, is estimated to be on an orbit of just 309,000 miles – only 1.3 times the distance from Earth to the Moon (238,000 miles).

Significant asteroids pass Earth every week, and NASA monitors them at up to 12 million miles away, so this is considered a cosmic close shave.

The cosmic skim comes straight after wild predictions were made online that a huge space rock would strike Puerto Rico by the end of this month….something that doesn’t appear to have materialized.

Fears became so widespread a rock may be about to strike that NASA took the unusual move of issuing a statement ruling this out.

The most unsettling pass was a monster 270-metre space rock called 2012 TT5 – one of six “near-earth” flybys between September 22 and TODAY when online doomsday prophets claimed the world could end.

Whitemire and Matese’s theory is that as Planet X orbits the sun, its tilted orbit slowly rotates and Planet X passes through the Kuiper belt of comets every 27 million years, knocking comets into the inner solar system. The dislodged comets not only smash into the Earth, they also disintegrate in the inner solar system as they get nearer to the sun, reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches the Earth.

HOW BIG IS BIG?

In reality it could be very, very small compared to Earth. The “dino killer” is estimated to have been between 5 and 15 kilometers across (3 to 10 miles). That’s large compared to the rocks in your backyard, but tiny compared to Earth.
To lead to a global catastrophe, an asteroid or comet only has to be big enough to launch large amounts of dust in to the atmosphere. That leads to the abrupt change in climate that wipes out species.

Felix claims evolution is driven by cosmic rays and other radiation in addition to these pole shifts. To do this, he draws on a number of old crank tomes (mostly Immanuel Velikovsky and some creationists) and fabricated “facts” and mixes it with generously cherry-picked and quote mined research done by actual evolutionary biologists, paleontologists, and archaeologists.

Felix believes the reversal of the Earth’s magnetic poles is imminent and that their reversal causes environmental cataclysms which lead into ice ages. One of his two websites is Ice Age Now, which is where he peddles this facet of his theory of everything. Ice Age Now is mostly dedicated to global warming denial, survivalism (better stock up on dry goods and fuel), conspiracy theories (he believes the government is covering up evidence of the coming ice age), and abiotic oil crankery. The sidebar is a long laundry list of denialist PRATTs, which makes it like Skeptical Science without the rebuttals. The “news” section seems to exist mostly to document any time at which a snowflake falls anywhere in the world (proof of the coming ice age!) and parrot whatever the latest denialist idiocy is, usually something from Piers Corbyn or Tim Ball. He also hawks his thoroughly “researched” books here.

George Monbiot specifically debunked one of his claims, that 555 of 625 of the Earth’s mountain glaciers are advancing.

Felix is not affiliated with any university, scientific establishment, or corporation, and therein lies his strength. Untainted by institutional bias or conventional wisdom this architect turned author brings fresh insight to the study of the ice ages.

This is a busted planet right now, and yet to become worse.
